ALICE MARTIN

Artist Statement

Alice Martin, who just graduated in interior design and architecture at the Pivaut school in Nantes, designs “Ben”, a coastal waste management system created from the sea’s resources.
Aware of environmental realities, in particular the pollution of the seas and oceans, Alice offers small beach bins with a design inspired by the appearance of octopuses and made entirely of 3D filament of harmful algae. Every gesture counts, and by designing biodegradable bins with an appealing appearance, the objective is clear: to return to all the simple everyday gestures for a better coexistence with nature. Behind this octopus is also a desire to involve and sensitize the population as much as possible by printing “Ben” locally.
